What Are Self-Destructive Beliefs?

Self-destructive Belief vs. Negative Thought

Author Burns (2021) states that self-destructive belief differs from negative thinking. He defines it as "Negative thinking only occurs when you are unhappy, but a self-destructive belief is an attitude always with you."

Let's examine together the belief pattern, one of the most common of these belief patterns;

"My success determines my value."

Two Sides of a Shield

A person who has this belief may experience some benefits. For example, If he works hard and does his best, he can enjoy the benefits of his efforts. As he becomes more successful and productive, he may feel more valuable. However, it may also cause some harm. If a person fails, they may feel depressed and worthless.

There are two sides of the coin here.

1. A healthy, productive aspect,

2. An unhealthy, destructive aspect.

Do you also base your value system on your successes?

Many people in society have a belief pattern like this. The thought underlying the belief pattern here is that it's about people looking down on you if you're lazy or don't produce; you're useless. In contrast, it is the belief that you are a valuable person if you are hard-working and productive.

Do you have beliefs that you think are harmful to you?

You are not alone!

Solution

You see yourself, life, and the world through the filter of your beliefs. It is not external factors that affect your life the most, but your inner world.

PSYCH-K® changes self-destructive beliefs in a fast, easy, and effective process. The subconscious mind is a million times more potent at processing information than the conscious mind. Therefore, the PSYCH-K® method facilitates the process by communicating with the body, which is the voice of the subconscious mind.

Based on the example belief above, let's create a new belief pattern for the new reality with the PSYCH-K® method.

"I am valuable under all circumstances."

How? Sounds more compassionate and constructive.

External factors are not what determine your value. Your subconscious belief patterns cause you to think this is the case. Self-destructive beliefs can keep you from living the life you truly deserve.

The PSYCH-K® method helps transform these belief patterns. With PSYCH-K®, you can break free from self-destructive belief patterns.
